Privacy notice
Effective and last reviewed 20 August 2026. This notice explains what Block Outside Noise processes, who is responsible for it, and how to make a request about your data. It does not claim that the site collects no data at all, and it does not claim comprehensive compliance with any specific law: it states, as precisely as it can, what actually happens.
Controller
Mustapha El Amrani, Zurich, Switzerland, is the controller responsible for this site and the data described here. Contact: privacy@blockoutsidenoise.com.
The diagnostic
Your answers in the diagnostic are processed entirely locally, in your own browser. They are not transmitted to this site, not sent to a server, and not stored anywhere by us. The site does not retain diagnostic answers.
Accounts, forms, and tracking
There is no user account system anywhere on this site. There is no contact form: every contact route is a plain mailto link handled by your own email client. There is no advertising and no affiliate tracking. No third-party analytics vendor is currently active, and this site does not currently set any optional tracking cookie.
Analytics: current state
As of this writing, no third-party analytics vendor or tracking script is active on this site. Five coarse event names are reserved in the codebase's typed interface: diagnosis_started, diagnosis_completed, solution_viewed, affiliate_outbound, and feedback_submitted, but the entire tracking interface currently performs no action: calling any of it has no effect at all. Nothing is dispatched, stored, or sent anywhere, internally or externally. affiliate_outbound specifically is unavailable even in principle right now: no affiliate program or merchant exists, so that event cannot currently be triggered with any data at all, pending a separately approved merchant/category registry.
Hosting
This site is hosted on Vercel. Delivering any page to you necessarily involves Vercel processing standard technical request data: your IP address, browser or user-agent details, the URL you requested, timestamps, security events, and diagnostic logs, used for delivering the site, keeping it secure, and keeping it reliable. See Vercel's privacy policy for how Vercel itself handles that data.
DNS
Cloudflare currently provides authoritative DNS for this domain only; at launch it is not intended to proxy or cache site traffic. Resolving this domain involves Cloudflare processing DNS requests as part of operating that authoritative DNS. If Cloudflare proxy or CDN mode is enabled at some point in the future, that is a material change to how traffic is handled, and this notice will be reviewed before it takes effect. See Cloudflare's privacy policy for how Cloudflare itself handles DNS data.
If you email contact@blockoutsidenoise.com or privacy@blockoutsidenoise.com, the message contents, your sender address, headers, and any attachments may be processed in order to answer your request, correspond with you, and, where relevant, act on a correction or privacy request.
Who processes this data
Depending on what you do on the site, the relevant recipient categories are: Vercel (hosting), an email-routing or mailbox provider (for messages sent to the addresses above), and Cloudflare (authoritative DNS). None of these providers is instructed to use your data for their own advertising or marketing purposes.
Why this data is processed
Purposes are limited to: delivering the site to your browser, keeping the site secure and reliable, resolving this domain's DNS, and responding to messages you send to either address above.
Retention
Technical hosting and security logs are retained only as long as Vercel's own infrastructure requires for delivery, security, and reliability purposes; this site does not separately extract or store them. Email correspondence is retained until the matter it concerns is resolved, and for a reasonable period afterward in case of follow-up or a legitimate legal need, rather than for a fixed period stated in advance. Diagnostic answers are never retained, because they are never transmitted to us in the first place.
International processing
Because the providers involved operate globally, your data may be processed in countries other than your own, including the United States. Those providers apply their own safeguards under applicable law; this notice does not claim an absolute adequacy or compliance guarantee for any specific transfer.
Data is not sold
Block Outside Noise does not sell your data.
Swiss data protection framing
The controller is based in Switzerland, and this notice is written with the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection in mind. Depending on where you are and which law applies, you may have rights including access to your data, correction of inaccurate data, deletion, and objection to certain processing. This notice does not promise that every right applies in every jurisdiction; it describes what the controller will do on request within applicable law.
Making a request
To exercise a privacy right, or to ask a question about this notice, write to privacy@blockoutsidenoise.com. No response time is promised.
Changes to this notice
If a material change is made to what this site collects or how it is processed (for example, enabling Cloudflare proxy/CDN mode or activating an analytics vendor), this page will be updated and its effective date above will change accordingly, before the change takes effect.
